After developing a keen interest in applied ethical issues during his undergraduate study in Philosophy (MA Hons) at the University of St Andrews, Paul joined the MSt in Practical Ethics to develop his knowledge in this area and passion for real-life application of philosophical study. Particularly motivated about issues in medical and research ethics, some of his key interest areas include issues surrounding autonomy, capacity, assisted-dying, end-of-life care, consent, and resource allocation.
Originally from the Peak District in Derbyshire, Paul is now based in Oxford and is looking to develop professional applications of his studies and is also interested in continuing his studies into a PhD.
