UNESCO’s World Philosophy Day 2025

Every year, on the third Thursday of November, UNESCO celebrates World Philosophy Day – a day for promoting the ‘enduring value of philosophy for the development of human thought, for each culture and for each individual’. We're joining the celebrations by launching our new series on #WomenInEthics, a collaboration with the Department of Social Ethics at the University of Bonn.

UNESCO's WPD aims to promote philosophical dialogue, critical thinking, and the importance of philosophy for a better society. Join us as we embark on a weekly philosophy journey - every Thursday we’ll be introducing you to brilliant women in ethics, past and present, whose ideas deserve to be seen.
