Manuel Marsico is a doctoral researcher in the FINO Program at the University of Genova, supervised by Professor Carla Bagnoli and Professor Maria Silvia Vaccarezza. He received his BA in Economics from the University of Bologna and his MA in Philosophy from the University of Parma.
Manuel’s research focuses on the structure of practical reason, with a particular interest in the relationship between consistency, time, self-referentiality, and the inescapability of agency. He is also interested in the philosophy of mind, the metaphysics of action, and the ethics of artificial intelligence. His doctoral project develops an account of practical reasoning that integrates themes from action theory, formal logic, and constructivist metaethics. His work has been presented among other venues at Boston University, OZSW Eindhoven, and MANCEPT.
