Celine Kraitem

Celine Kraitem holds an MSc in Psychological Research from the University of Oxford and a BA in Psychology from the Lebanese American University. She works with Dr Joanna Demaree-Cotton at the Uehiro Oxford Institute, assisting on a study of patient gender, emotion, and paternalism in medical decision-making, and is a Research Associate at the Institute of Psychotraumatology at the Lebanese American University. Her research focuses on moral and political psychology, empathy, polarisation, and trauma in conflict-affected populations. She has provided psychosocial support to displaced children and families in Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon, and researches trauma-informed education for children in Gaza alongside ongoing work on trauma and mental health in Lebanon.
