Eleanor Higgins is a DPhil student in Philosophy at the University of Oxford, funded by the St Cross Uehiro Scholarship for Future Generations. Before studying at Oxford, Eleanor completed an MPhil in Philosophy at the University of Cambridge and an MA (Hons.) in Philosophy at the University of Edinburgh. Her doctoral research explores the intersection between the metaphysics of pregnancy and issues in reproductive ethics, with particular focus on the ethics of abortion. She is supervised by Dr. César Palacios-González and Professor Alexander Kaiserman. Outside of her doctoral research, Eleanor is also interested in issues related to death and dying, including the metaphysics of death, the ethics of archaeology, and the ethics of assisted dying.
