Christian is a final-year PhD student at the Institute for Biomedical Ethics at the University of Basel. His current research focuses on the ethics of animal research. He has published several papers on topics such as ethical decision-making in animal research, animal law and public debate, and transparency in animal research. He is also a member of a Swiss cantonal commission on animal research. More broadly, his areas of interest include empirical animal ethics, experimental philosophy, and bioethics. He holds a MA in Philosophy from the University of Fribourg, where he also studied social sciences as part of the Pluralist Societies program. Christian looks forward to collaborating with the Philosophical Moral Psychology Lab at UOI and to deepening his research in the inspiring setting of the Radcliffe Camera.
