Genevieve is a DPhil candidate in Law at Brasenose College, funded by the Uehiro Oxford Institute. Her doctoral research explores the moral limits of consensual sex under unjust circumstances. The aim of her thesis is to map the key categories of morally problematic sex produced by gender inequality that nevertheless meet the legal consent standard. Her research is inherently interdisciplinary; combining legal theory, feminist theory, and moral philosophy. She is supervised by Dr Kate Greasley and Dr Lisa Forsberg. Prior to the DPhil, Genevieve completed the MPhil in Law at Oxford, an MA in Comparative Literature at the University of Amsterdam, and a combined Bachelor of Arts (Philosophy)/Bachelor of Laws at the University of Sydney.
