Noriko is a doctoral student in the Department of Death and Life Studies and Practical Ethics, Graduate School of Humanities and Sociology, the University of Tokyo. Her research focuses on the ethical and social dimensions of patient violence against healthcare professionals, examining how this issue comes to be recognised as a public and moral concern.
A registered nurse with experience in psychiatric and intensive care, she has also worked at the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare and the Japanese Nursing Association. Bridging clinical practice, public administration, and academic research, she continues to explore questions of care, responsibility, and medical ethics.
