Rod Macrae

Rod is the Uehiro Institute’s Communications Officer. His main project is the creation of a new website to better present the Institute to external audiences.

He has previously worked at the Department of Psychiatry where he was the Communication Manager for a research programme, Dementias Platform UK, and an adolescent mental health project, BrainWaves. Before coming to the University, Rod focused on environmental and climate change issues at his own communications consultancy business which enabled him to spend time on a scientific expedition on the Arctic Ocean. He early career was in news broadcasting where he worked for the BBC, ITV and Reuters. Away from work Rod plays and sings in music bands and is a keen Scotland rugby supporter.
