Til Eyinck is a Research Associate and doctorate student in Philosophy at the Cologne Center for Contemporary Epistemology and the Kantian Tradition and has been a visiting scholar at the University of St Andrews.
He is fascinated by the fact that we as humans and scientists often presuppose things that, in a way, do not exist – be it numbers, unicorns or merely possible scenarios. In his doctoral studies, he is concerned with fictional speech. He is the author of publications in the field of social epistemology, on modal logic and on Wittgenstein’s early philosophy. His journalistic pieces, which are often thematically related to his academic work, have appeared in Frankfurter Rundschau and Die Welt, among others.
